Hazing and Risk Prevention: an Online Non-Credit Course

--a breakthrough in Hazing Education at the collegiate level (adaptable to high school students, administrators, athletes,
coaches and corporate executives, etc.

At last, a class undergraduates can take online to understand what hazing really is. The course stays away
from scare tactics, using straightforward language and the power of factual information to advise students why hazing
is an activity that often goes from "fun 'n' games" to heartbreak in an instant. Developed for The Human Equation
by Hank Nuwer, the author of four books and numerous articles on hazing and alcohol deaths, this 50-minute continuing
education-type course takes away all excuses from students that they "just didn't know what hazing was." Elements of the course include hazing definition, examples, alternatives, and cautionary tales. Using video clips from a PBS
documentary that include students who resisted or gave in to hazing (with tragic results), the course is entertaining
even as it educates.  Bystanders no longer can stand idly by when hazing occurs. They as potential bystanders know now they have an ethical duty to act.

--The course also can be customized more for fraternities, more for sororities, more for athletes, more for coaches, or
more for administrators.

--The course also can be adapted for use by high school athletes and students, firemen, policemen,

corporations and occupational workers.

Sample slides are below. VIDEO AND AUDIO are not included on the samples below. They ARE part of the
Human Equation course, however.
